Manoj’s protest has been framed as a last resort for securing quality education and guaranteed jobs for children from the Maratha community, with the government accused of failing to meet those needs.
The remarks argued that people do not enjoy staging agitations and turn to them only after speaking out and making requests that are not accepted by the government. They alleged that public trust in the government was declining because it had failed to provide children with good education and employment opportunities.
The protest was described as being centred on better education and guaranteed jobs for the Maratha community. It was argued that Manoj would not have had to sit on protest had the government improved education and created job opportunities.
Support was also pledged for Manoj, noting that he had travelled to Delhi to support the earlier movement.
The remarks referred to an observation attributed to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat that there is no provision in the Constitution saying Muslims cannot live in the country. They urged BJP leaders to listen to Bhagwat, alleging that after 12 years in power and gaining control of four agencies, the party had begun to see itself as bigger than the RSS.
Bhagwat was also cited as having said that Gen Z protesters should not be called anti-national. The Prime Minister was criticised for using the term “dimagi naxal” for such protesters, with the remarks alleging that this showed he was not following Bhagwat’s calls for inclusivity and against insulting children.
