Akhil Gogoi Meets CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Submits Memoranda on Upper Assam Floods

​Guwahati: Sibsagar MLA and Raijor Dal President, Shri Akhil Gogoi, called on the Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, today. During the meeting, the MLA submitted several important memoranda highlighting pressing issues concerning the public.​The primary focus of the memoranda was the recent devastating flood situation in Upper Assam. Gogoi drew the Chief Minister’s attention to the extensive damage caused by the floods, urging immediate, adequate relief and rehabilitation for the affected communities. The delegation also pressed for a permanent, scientific resolution to the state’s perennial flood crisis.​Apart from the flood situation, several other critical regional issues were reportedly discussed during the meeting. It remains to be seen what actionable steps the state government takes in response to the specific demands raised by the Raijor Dal leader.
