New Delhi, October 31: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has married journalist Nidhi Razdan. He announced the news on social media on Saturday, sharing a photograph of the couple.
Posting a picture with Razdan on Instagram, Abdullah wrote, “A new journey began yesterday,” and tagged her in the post. According to India Today, the wedding took place on Friday, October 30. The Chief Minister shared the announcement a day after the ceremony.
The announcement has drawn attention in political and media circles. However, neither Abdullah nor Razdan has shared further details about the wedding venue, the guest list or the ceremony.
The development comes around three months after the Supreme Court dealt with the divorce proceedings between Omar Abdullah and his estranged wife, Payal Abdullah. On July 31, 2026, the two parties agreed to dissolve their marriage by mutual consent under Article 142 of the Constitution. They also agreed to withdraw pending cases against each other.
Omar Abdullah and Payal married in 1994 after meeting while working at The Oberoi hotel in Delhi. They have two sons, Zahir and Zamir.
