Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel has backed Rahul Gandhi’s stated pledge to remove the 50% cap on reservation if the party forms the government.
Speaking on reservation-related issues, Baghel said protests were continuing and that there was discussion around removing reservation as well as demands for reservation in the private sector.
He said reservation should remain in line with provisions contained in the Constitution.
Baghel said Rahul Gandhi had made it clear that the 50% cap would be removed when their government came to power, adding that he supported the decision.
