New Delhi: Commercial LPG cylinder prices have increased from November 1, with the cost of a 19-kg cylinder rising by around Rs 10 to Rs 17 in several cities across the country. However, the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged.
Under the revised rates, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has increased from Rs 2,810 to Rs 2,820. In Mumbai, the new price stands at Rs 2,764. Kolkata has recorded an increase of Rs 17, taking the price to Rs 2,971.
In Chennai, the price has gone up by Rs 11.50 to Rs 2,994.50. In Ahmedabad, the commercial cylinder now costs Rs 2,842 following an increase of Rs 10.50. In Shillong, the revised price has been set at Rs 3,091.
Commercial LPG cylinders are widely used by hotels, restaurants and other business establishments. The latest price hike could therefore increase operating costs for businesses and potentially affect the prices of food and other services.
