Guwahati, October 31: Jonmoni Gogoi, wife of Hotel Bilas Inn case accused Ghanakanta Gogoi, appeared at Dhemaji Police Station on Saturday. Her lawyer said she appeared before the police in response to their request.
According to the lawyer, Jonmoni has not surrendered. She appeared at the police station because the police had asked her to do so. The lawyer also remarked that surrender is something an accused person does.
Meanwhile, Ghanakanta Gogoi’s lawyer urged the police to file a strong chargesheet in the Hotel Bilas Inn murder case. He said that a strong chargesheet would make it easier for the defence to present its arguments.
The investigation into the Hotel Bilas Inn case is continuing, while Jonmoni’s appearance at Dhemaji Police Station and the lawyer’s remarks have drawn attention.
