Bhergaon, October 31: The BTC administration has launched two road construction projects in the Bhergaon council constituency. The foundation stones for the Suklai–Nalapara road and the Suklai–Rajagarh–Nalapara road were laid under the leadership of TCLCC Vice-Chairman Mahendra Basumatary.
Basumatary said the construction of the two roads would fulfil a long-standing demand of local residents. He reiterated that the BTC government was committed to addressing the basic problems faced by the people.
The dilapidated condition of the roads had caused considerable hardship for commuters and school students for a long time. Residents also faced difficulties in accessing emergency services because of the poor road conditions.
Local residents expressed satisfaction following the launch of the construction projects. BPF spokesperson Kamal Azad and several party leaders and workers were also present at the foundation-laying programme.
