Madhya Pradesh Congress leader alleges ₹1 lakh bucket in corruption attack

Congress in Madhya Pradesh alleged that a bucket had been procured for ₹1 lakh, using it to accuse the Mohan Yadav-led state government of corruption.

Congress also claimed that a bottle of phenyl cost ₹36,000 and a bulb cost ₹11,000. It described corruption as a “cancer” that had spread into the roots of Madhya Pradesh.

Congress referred to a statement by an Additional Chief Secretary, claiming that action had been taken against 365 employees and officials, including CMHOs and people running municipal corporations and municipalities. Congress argued that officials could not commit wrongdoing without political backing, also referring to sand dumpers allegedly being operated without the approval of legislators.

Calling for the removal of corruption, Congress urged the audience to elect Congress-backed sarpanches, MLAs and MPs, as well as a Congress chief minister, and said Rahul Gandhi should become prime minister.

The video does not identify the alleged procurements, the departments involved, the period in which they were made, or provide documents supporting the prices and the claim concerning action against 365 people.
