Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged restraint in public comments concerning the case related to Zubeen Garg, stating that the matter is currently before the court.
With a protest movement seeking justice for the late singer underway, Sarma indicated that he would not comment further on the issue because the judicial process is ongoing.
The Chief Minister alleged that some people had been targeting the court through their remarks since the beginning of the case, raising concerns that such statements could disrupt the judicial process. However, he did not identify the individuals concerned or provide details to substantiate the allegation.
Sarma also warned that comments directed at the court could cause dissatisfaction among judges during hearings and potentially affect the interests of those seeking justice for Zubeen Garg. He added that the public was observing the developments.
His remarks come amid continuing demands for justice for the popular Assamese singer, whose case remains a matter of public concern.
